
Worksites provide many opportunities to reinforce the adoption and maintenance of healthy lifestyle behaviors. Recommendations include encouraging worksites to implement and evaluate innovative pilot programs for employees about wellness, healthful eating and physical activity.
Also, recommendations suggest employers change workflow patterns, including flexible work hours, to create opportunities for regular physical activity during the workday. Specifically, employers are encouraged to provide employees 30 minutes of each work day for walking.
